Symbols Of Violence: Aryan Symbols, Swastikas, Gang IDs ('flags', beads, tattoos) are all violence symbols. Can you think of any more? Why do many teens consider joining groups that are based on exploiting other people?

Question #4

Thanks to the added instant video provided by YouTube and others, we now can see bullying events happening in high schools across the USA. I find the burning of the Florida high school student especially sad and often students are beaten until close to death. If you were the dean of your high school, what would you do to create an environment where everyone was safe and that bullying was minimized? (Try to explore non-punishment methods)

Upcoming Project Looksharp Training

Dear EDP teachers-
This is to remind you of the following workshops with Project Looksharp scheduled for Saturday March 20th. They will run as follows:

EVC teachers will meet Project Looksharp at EVC from 9:00am-12:00noon. You will then get a lunch break and continue on to work with the EVC trainers.

WP teachers will meet in the morning with WP trainers at the WP space. Your Project Looksharp Workshop will take place at the WP office/training space from 2:00-5:00pm.

Have a productive day with Project Looksharp. Should you have any questions regarding the Looksharp training, you can contact me, Jim Murphy, via email, or comment to this post. Should you have any questions regarding the EVC or WP sessions before or after Looksharp, please contact Lindsey or Johnmichael directly.

Please be aware that due to budget cuts, food is not being provided at either session.
