I don't think it's problem because children should learn discipline. though some people say it's not setting a good example for the child, it's still better then saying "No don't do that". words don't hurt and actions cause more of an effect.
the way i feel when a child gets slapped across the face is anger. i feel like slapping the adult across the face, no child should get hit in the face, especially from the parent. the child will most likely grow up in a wrong direction.
